fair or unfair

"I you need to go check the laundry...When are you going to take a break and clean? Are you going to clean your room for me, before you leave?"

These were all questions I was asked today as soon as I got home from work. I love my mom to death, but when she ask me to do things in that manner I feel more like a slave then a daughter.

Is it wrong that I don't want to do things when my mom ask me in the above manner?

My room has suddenly becomes her's..I have heard things from "I was use to using your room when you are gone and now you have stuff in it. Can you move that ponytail out of my viewing area? to That bag has been there are while, it is starting to bug me can you move it?" There is also the invasion of privoce. I will come home or call while I am gone a few days and say "oh I borrowed this, I hope you don't mind."

Eachday I become more and more anxious to get out on my own again, and mess being in college out of state more and more.

Humans or Giant Panda Bears

The other day while sitting on a plane reading the USA Today, I came across an article about a Giant Panda at the San Diego Zoo that was about to give birth to her 4th baby in a year. Gestation period for a Giant Panda ranges from 83 to 163 days (average 135 days), and usually have one to two babies at a time. Humans typically can't have one in that time frame.

That isn't the crazy thing about this article, after the baby is born, it will be shipped off to China to be apart of the Giant Panda Breeding program. So my question is why is China saving Panda's and killing humans? Granted Giant Pandas are endangered and humans are not, but if the Giant Panda can have at least 2 to 4 babies and humans usually only have one baby year(this isn't counting those that have multiple births i.e. twins, triplets, etc.) shouldn't the Pandas be pretty well off( especially with quite a few in captivity)?

Faithful Servant

Here is some more blogona from Joel.

Today's Scripture
"'Well done, good and faithful servant. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master." (Matthew 25:21)
Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
The law of the harvest says that you have to sow in order to reap. Whether you realize it or not, God has blessed you with certain gifts, abilities and talents that He wants you to use for His kingdom. These things are a blessing from God, but they are not for safekeeping; they're for using daily! Put your gifts to work and start sowing seeds of goodness, love and compassion. And don't forget that others are sowing as well, so make sure to allow them opportunities to sow their seeds, and you'll both be blessed beyond imagination. God will multiply your harvest in ways that you could not even possibly imagine. Give of yourself, and make a lasting deposit today."

Correct me if I am wrong but what Joel has to say has nothing to do with what Matthew 25:21 says. This section of Matthew talks about being faithful to God, not multiplying and sowing seed. Matthew 25:22-25 : 22 And he also that had received the two talents came and said: Lord, thou deliveredst two talents to me: behold I have gained other two. 23 His lord said to him: Well done, good and faithful servant: because thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will place thee over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 24 But he that had received the one talent, came and said: Lord, I know that thou art a hard man; thou reapest where thou hast not sown, and gatherest where thou hast not strewed. 25 And being afraid I went and hid thy talent in the earth: behold here thou hast that which is thine using you talents to spread the Kingdom of God, but still does say what Joel says ( no where does it say God gives us talents "to use in his kingdom")

If we spread God's Kingdom and serve Him, He will provide for us. It is good to spread goodness, love, and compassion but we must also be faithful to God.

Scary Abortion Article

The other day I read a horrifying story in the San Antonio Express News on Abortion in China.

The article talked about that one clinic in China(keep in mind this clinic also focus on the "reproductive health of single women") had 65 abortions in the month of March, and 42 of those abortions were second abortions. The most horrifying out of those 65 was a woman who had her 6th abortion. The article also mention a young girl (22), had her second abortion in 18 months.

Being only 23 myself, I could not imagine going through two abortions, much less one abortion( I can't ever imagine going through an abortion). From this article, it seems like abortion has become a routine for young women in China, both single and married. Not saying this is how the women feel but it seems like they have a "it is okay if I get pregnant..I will just have an abortion"

There rising number of single or teenage women having abortions, and most of the abortions in parts of Beijing and Shanghai are unmarried or teenagers. The article blames this on the "new generation" is increasing "unmoored from the values--inhibitions--of traditional culture." The government is at partially blame as well; while they pay great attention to the reproductive lives of married couples, less attention has been paid to educating single women on sex.

The article mentions that premarital sex is becoming more common, because there is a lack of sex education. Single women "lack basic understanding about reproductive health and contraception." It seems like there is a night and day differences between what the U.S. teaching about sex and abortion, and what China teaches.

The U.S. has governmental figures fighting to minimize abortion and teach women that abortion is wrong, and basically gives out contraception(at some colleges contraception is given freely for sexually active students). On the other hand China is not teaching young women about contraception or the wrongs of abortion. In fact, China is contributing to abortion by limiting the number of children women can have.

One thing this article did not mention was the % abortions that are girls vs. boys. I am willing to say that almost 60% or more are girls, due to the value that is placed on males in China.

What Are You Sowing?

My friend who attends Lakewood Church sends me these about once or twice a month.

Today's Scripture

"Other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown." (Matthew 13:8)

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

You should be living with expectancy because God is using what you're sowing for His good and perfect will. There are many kinds of seeds, but only one kind of seed is a good seed that produces a crop according to Matthew 13. This is the seed of God's Word, and as you sow good seeds for Jesus Christ into a field of hurting and desperate people, people who have no other hope for life, they will find something firm to believe in. Jesus Himself promises that if you sow good seed, you will reap a harvest that is beyond your expectations. Plant good seeds in the lives of other people. There is plenty of soil to sow in, and a lot of it is right where you live and work!

You should be living with expectancy because God is using what you're sowing for His good and perfect will. Can anyone tell me what the heck this means?

Mathew 13:4-8 4 And whilst he soweth some fell by the way side, and the birds of the air came and ate them up. 5 And other some fell upon stony ground, where they had not much earth: and they sprung up immediately, because they had no deepness of earth.

6 And when the sun was up they were scorched: and because they had not root, they withered away. 7 And others fell among thorns: and the thorns grew up and choked them. 8 And others fell upon good ground: and they brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, and some thirtyfold.

The seeds were not bad, the ground they landed on was caused them not to bare fruit. Essentially all the seeds were good, but because some landed on stone, in the sun, or in thorns, they did not bare fruit. I think what Joel should of said is that if we choose a good ground for our seeds will bare fruit.

Sowing Seeds

Sowing Seeds

Today's Scripture

"This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you. He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God."
(2 Corinthians 9:10)

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

God is faithful to reward you for the seeds of His unconditional love and unending hope that you help to sow in the lives of others. Today's verse makes the astounding promise that the more seeds you sow, the more God will increase your supply of seed so you can be an even greater blessing to those around you. The seeds of His Word and His love that you sow will produce a harvest that you will also share in. You may or may not be able to see the final harvest in your lifetime, but that's where God's promise really kicks in. His promise is not only for this life, but for your eternal life! God wants to multiply His favor and abundance on your work, your health, your relationships and your finances to meet your own needs and have an abundance to share with others.

A Prayer for Today

God, thank You for Your faithfulness to me, and Your promises of blessings. May I serve You in everything I do today so that I may be found faithful. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

I was sent this from a friend that goes to Lakewood aka the church of Joel Osteen. I am interested to see what you guys have to say. "Today's verse makes the astounding promise that the more seeds you sow, the more God will increase your supply of seed so you can be an even greater blessing to those around you." I don't know how much I agree with this, I think God provides equally for those who believe in Him and do His will. I would tend to say that God increases your supply of seed as you serve Him.

And correct me if I am wrong but know where "This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you. He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God."
(2 Corinthians 9:10) is there a promise in here "...that the more seeds you sow, the more God will increase your supply of seed so you can be an even greater blessing to those around you." The verse says that God gives seed to the farmer basically so the farmer can have food for meals and something to give away to others. Meaning that if we give to others and do as God ask, He will supply us the seeds.

Abortion Still Isn't the answer

The reason why i can sport a save wildlife bumper sticker next to a Pro Choice sticker....

This question was brought to my attention a few weeks ago( i dont use bumper stickers but it made me think)....i would do the same. Its not that i think baby harp seals and their heads getting bashed in is any more important than the callous way that our own babies are aborted form our bodies.
~~We are from tip to toe overpopulated. Our eco system will not survive any more trees cut, land concreted, and animals bludgeoned. All this for our unbasic needs.
~~I know that women who dare abort their unborn child wouldn't make a suitable mother never the less.
~~We don't need anymore children up for adoption, we still have plenty without homes now.
~~Children come as a test at a time in our life when we need them(though it never seems so) embrace it.
~~Funny one--soon we are not going to have any meat to eat with the amount we waste and destroy a year. Then we can all be vegetarians. More vegetarians care about the eco system then these meat lovers and they need to reconsider what they are doing to our earth. Or youmay not have a choice but to eat veggies in a decade or so(if we are here that long, but thats another digression)
~~I dont even think that families should be able to have more than 2 children(the chinese figured it out) Not that i wish for the gov to have that kind of control but something needs to be done. I also cant stand these women who have children solely to collect more welfare. I've known a few who do! If you cant afford the child quit having them. Birth control is practicly free these days in some form. You're broke. Don't procreate. Atleast not more than one.

Please recognize that i do not think abortion is right, or in anyway humane, i just have to admit that in many instances this is prob the only way to population control. Since it is so moraly wrong (it seems) to kill the bastard that raped and degraded our women, that molested our children and murdered our family.

This was a posting someone had on myspace. First off God told to reproduce and He created the earth...So don't you think that if there isn't going to be enough found for children(He would do something about it). So what if one day all we had to do is live off of vegtables(it is still food). Limiting the number of births women have isn't going to solve anything. NEITHER IS ABORTION OR CONTERCEPTION People need to get it out of their head that abortion and contraception are the answer to a growing population.

"I know that women who dare abort their unborn child wouldn't make a suitable mother never the less." Because a woman has an abortion does not mean that she is not fit to be a mother...it means she needs doesn't want to except the responsiblities of being a mother...She needs help to realize the meaning of being a mother

5 or 6

These seems like a silly debate to have on the radio...but okay.
Are there 5 or 6 marriage between Rudy Giuliani and his wife?

The debate is that Rudy Giuliani has been married twice before, and Mrs. Giuliani has been married twice before their current marriage to eachother. Does this make 5 or 6 marriages?

Well, in my opinion it is only 5, because how can there be 2 marriages in one marriage- Mark 10:7-9 7. 'And for this reason a man will leave his father and mother and unite with his wife and the two will become one.' 8. So they are no longer two, but one. 9. No humanbeing must seperate, then, what God has joined together.

A listener to 1070am said that it would be 6 because each person is in their third marriage...but you CAN'T say that there has been 6 marriages between the two when they are still married to eachother..right? Like it says is Mark 10:9 No humanbeing must seperate, then, what God has joined together.

So now try to say that there is 6 marriages between the Giulianis.

Abortion

Today on the radio I heard that South Carolina is going to be the only state to REQUIRE a woman considering an abortion to have an ultra sound and see the baby first. There was only one caller that didn't think that requiring a ultra sound before an abortion was a good idea.

Her argument was that her sister was date raped at the age of 22 and that women who are raped should not have to bare the emotional pain of seeing the unborn baby. The radio host's comeback on that is that didn't does make the abortion any different, you are still killing an unborn child, and that having an abortion is more emotionally harmful to a woman than having the baby and giving the child up for adoption. The woman ended up trying to debate abortion and not if an ultra sound should be required for women considering abortion. She tried to pull the ole "when does "it"(a terrible word for a child, babe, fetus), she end up hanging up and not finishing her argument. Another good point the radio host made, is that why should an unborn child suffer from a bad date?

Anyways, I don't think that it would be such a bad idea to have the women who are cosidering abortion see the life that they are about abort. Heck why don't we let them hear the heart beat, so they know for sure that what they are about to do is kill an innocent life.
